Right now, many parents are forced to raise their children in makeshift shacks made of plastic sheets, cardboard, or old tin. These "houses" cannot stop the freezing winter wind or the heavy summer rain. The floors are often just dirt, which turns into mud when it leaks. Living like this is exhausting, dangerous, and it strips away a person’s dignity. At Albaraka Welfare Trust, we believe that every human being deserves a solid roof over their head and a door they can lock at night.

The word 'Saibaan' means a protective shade or shelter. That is exactly what this project is about. We don't just provide a temporary tent; we build permanent, brick-and-mortar homes that change a family's life forever.
When Albaraka Welfare Trust builds a Saibaan home, we are looking at the long term. We want to make sure that even ten or twenty years from now, that family is still safe and dry. By moving a family out of the mud and into a real house, we are giving them a foundation. It is the first step in helping them move out of poverty and toward a better future.
The Prophet ﷺ said: Whoever builds a house for a needy believer, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise.
